“Pint of Science” is back in town

From 13-15 May we will bring you science to the pub next door (in Vienna).

This year we have 50 events in 6 cities of Austria. Besides Vienna, Innsbruck, Graz and Salzburg, Krems is taking part again. We are also delighted to welcome Kufstein to our #pint family.

Quench your thirst for knowledge now and grab a ticket on our website – 4 Euros only!

With the participation of ISTA, Technical University Vienna and University of Vienna.

From ISTA, our professor of Astronomy Lisa Bugnet will talk about laughing stars. The universe is all about destruction, burning stars and it does not care about you! But we do, and we have a few people to explain to us what the hell is happening up there!

Sustainability manager Jeroen Dobbelaere and postdoc Logan Hodgskiss ask if we actually make a difference with our science? Is today’s science helping or hurting our future? They will try to explain how sustainable the scientific research is and how realistic their “eurekas” are when the conversation comes to planet Earth.

Most talks are in German but at the following locations you can also find talks in English:

Cafe Henriette | Staudingergasse 10, 1200 Vienna
Tunnel | Florianigasse 39, 1080 Vienna
